Recyclced Sweaters

 So ofcourse everyone knows of Katwise, she is quite inspirational.  I was interested in having a recycled sweater of my own, so I made one.  I found the sweaters at that habitat store and they all looked good together. I think I spent about $20 on sweaters for this project.

I came home and laid them out. I found the one I liked best for the base and then I chopped off the sleeves and then made equal size strips for the striped middle.  Then I cut the shirts around the middle to make long length strips for the bottom.

I only had a normal sewing machine. I sewed all the vertical strips together then I sewed the bottom strips on one at a time to the bottom.  Finally I gather pinned it to the base sweater and sewed it all together.

It spins wells, it is colorful and it was a fun project for a weekend.
