What's a Pirate's Favorite Letter?

Recently, we visited Wilmington, NC and got to see the pirate ship Bounty.  Then oddly enough they played non-stop Pirates of the Caribbean on tv.  My five year old daughter kept on making goofy pirate jokes and my son wanted to play dress up. . .   So hence I had to make some pirate garb. Enjoy!

Springy Fun

This weekend we planted trees.  Cherry and Pecan!!!  YUM!!!  Maybe I will make cherry and pecan pies in the near future.  While we were out planting I was looking at all the fun springy flowers blooming all over the yard.  Dandelion, henbit, purple dead nettle, clover, chickweed, violas and my mint garden started sprouting.

Today, the kids and I went for a walk collecting herbs to dry to make into tea.  I now have a decorative fireplace with dangling herbs.

Flip-A-Doll

I had continued my day of play with felt.  Last week at my mother's house she had a stack of craft projects and one was a Flip doll.  It has been rolling around in my head until today when it came to be.  This flip doll is a 4 in 1 doll.  It is a Princess (Daisy), Cat (Catherine), Elephant (Ellie) and a pig (Penelope).  I designed it and it was all hand sewn.  It took me a about 7 hours from design to finish product. I am a little tired now but at least I have a flip a doll. Now I have to get ready for school!

Dear Little Deer- Fawn Phone Cover

I may be going felt crazy.  It is fun coming up with new patterns and ideas.  I decided to work on a fawn.  I like this pattern.

Kitty Cat Credit Card Carrier

Black and White are so hot right now.  Add a little pink and WOW! Classic!

Today I wanted to try to make a credit card carrier.  I designed it to look like a french kitty.  It was fun to make, but to longer then I would have thought.  Maybe because I couldn't find my snap closures. But no worries I used button and ribbon  as the closure. I also added a key chain hook for a little extra flavor!!

Felty Flowers Pins and Clips

I am had been working on felt flowers that are handstitched. I am working on turning them into pins and hair clips. Here is the green and brown set  I made yesterday. I am working on a set of black, white and pink.
